Goodbye Dinner, Aug 30th

What a great night! I will never regret buying my lederhosen, especially with such a large number of us doing so. It felt right to celebrate the end of a great month with this caliber of an outfit.

One of my favorite moments was when I asked Kathy whether or not Christianity would have existed without the actual historical figure of Jesus Christ having been there. She thought about it and then went to father Ambrose to ask him. Father Ambrose was pretty clear in his mind that Christianity is entirely dependent on Jesus Christ having existed. I mean I can't blame him for his answer because the entire religion hinges on Jesus being the actual son of God, so if it didn't really have to be Jesus then the whole religion would sort of fall apart. But I can't help but think that maybe with Rome on its way down and with how the political climate looked around the Mediterranean, something was bound to pop up. New religions get invented all the time. We humans always seek answers to the questions we don't know, and making a religion is by far the fastest and easiest way to "find" those answers. So perhaps without Jesus, whatever religion that would get created without him would not look exactly the same but I think it would be fairly similar.

Here's a fun photo of Taylor choking me like they do in Star Wars

Extra credit for eating blood sausage? I loved it by the way, delicious!

A group of us then ended the night at Wind and Mills. Great fun, although staying up the whole night having fun and then getting on the plane was not my best idea. But I don't regret enjoying every second I had left while I was in Vienna :)
